Since the spray covers all areas of the tube wall and shell path of the tube bundle, the distiller is very easy to clean online.
Due to the steam washing design and the method of retracting the steam direction, the distiller has superior endotoxin removal ability, and all endotoxin challenging tests (>100 EU/ml on the influent side) produce water endotoxins in an almost undetectable range (<0.05 EU/ml), which provides a removal ability of more than 3 logs.
All components of the water distiller are located on the floor and the compressor and motor are mounted on the edge of the support for easy maintenance.
The evaporator level is lower than the horizontal tube bundle to avoid soaking the tube plate in unevaporated concentrated water, and to minimize corrosion at the joint of the tube bundle and tube plate.
Distilled water condenses inside the heat exchange tube, which will not cause distilled water to stay in the joint between the tube bundle and the tube plate. This is in line with WFI's GMP requirements for heat exchangers requiring distilled water to flow through the inside of the heat exchange tube.
The circulating water system ensures a high moisture level on the surface of the heat exchange tube in the equipment, avoiding dry spots and minimizing the risk of scaling because of the large flow rate of more than several times the water intake.
